Fall Family Time

Happy 59th Birthday Dad (Even though we all think you still look 29!)! We cannot wait to come and see you this evening! I am sure that Henry will want to listen to the Beatles again!

I do want to apologize for not updating this sooner, but I keep thinking that one of these days I will get some time to upload some photos on here! For now, you can go to http://capturetimephotography.zenfolio.com/morgan and the put in the password Morgan to see our fall photos. The photographer Amy is planning to upload our outdoor photos soon, but I may try to attach a few of the pics she has sent me so far, because the outdoor ones look adorable! i cannot wait to see the rest!
Well for halloween Henry was a bumble bee and olivia was a ballerina! They both looked adorable! Olivia just loved to play with her tutu and henry was just excited to get a bunch of candy! On Halloween night we went to see Great-Grandpa McNamara, and Donna happened to be there as well as Bern and Jerome so Henry was happy as can be!

Henry has been going to preschool now twice a week at Aldrich Nursery School in Rochester and is LOVING it! it is only for a couple of hours but it is some good social interaction for him and everyday he makes me more beautiful artwork! I just LOVE it! I am getting a bit sick of driving to Rochester and we will have to see how it goes once it starts snowing out! It might be a bit much, but we will see! In February he is able to start going to the ZM preschool, so we might just switch to there at that time! But Olivia and I have been having some great shopping excursions while Henry is at school and I love having that time with just my sweet little Olivia!
She is Scooting/crawling everywhere now...she can climb up the step in our living room in no time and she is getting better and going down too (without falling)!!! She is also pulling herself up onto everything to stand and play and is starting to walk a bit more while hanging onto something...usually she is trying to walk and catch up to Henry or get whatever he is playing with! Now Henry is starting to get tired of that and the poor boy gets so frustrated with her, because she gets into EVERYTHING! Olivia is waving a little bit now, but I am really trying hard to get her to talk, but thus far no words...stubborn little girl...Henry was fluent in mama and dada at this age! Oh well....I might just need to have a little patience! She also has two bottom teeth in and is working on another! She is just adorable! She is so good-natured and sleeps so fabulously! Oh, and she is starting to refuse baby food, as she prefers real food (hamburger, gf pasta, rice chex, etc)!!!!
Henry is still being a great big brother...most of the time! He is starting to act more like a 2 year old now though...he whines and throws little tantrums about everything...it is so annoying! He still loves to read, read, read, read and sing, sing, sing, sing! I feel like that is all we do! Scott and I are so tired of reading and singing kids songs! But he does love singing Joey by sugarland and big green tractor, as well as the fire truck song, three blind mice, and BINGO! He also loves to spell his name and the few other words he knows how to spell and practice writing, even though he just makes lines!

Well I better get back to work! Hope you all have a nice day ~Katie

September

Good Early Morning,

This mom is just working the night away, I just had a few extra minutes so I thought i would update henrys blog quick! We have been busy lately finishing up the basement, scott is doing such a great job! It is looking so nice! I just cannot wait for it to be finished! The trim is pretty much all up and scott was going to put a final coat of paint on it last night, then we will just need to finish the fireplace, put a new entry door downstairs and tidy up our mess...oh yeah...and buy a big screen tv for scott to enjoy now that his hardwork is done...for now!

we took henry to see aldrich nursery school yesterday and he gets to start going this upcoming tuesday, it is only for 2 hours on tuesday and thursday mornings in rochester but we think it will be good for him to get some play time in with other kids and not be stuck with mom and dad all of the time! i think he would have stayed yesterday if we would have let him!

he is just so much fun, everyday he learns how to say something else new! and he remembers so much stuff it just amazes me! he is still into singing songs ALL of the time, scott and i are so sick of rain rain go away because he sings it all the time! he has also really gotten into hauling stuff around in the wagon behind his tractor...he always has a "big load" of something! this upcoming weekend we are going to take him to see "big ships" in duluth, so that should be fun!

olivia is also getting to be more and more fun! she is just such a doll i cannot get enough of her! i still am loving to dress her in cute little girly dresses and outfits! she crawls and gets into absolutely everything! it just amazes scott and i where she ends up if we leave her unattended in the living room for a minute...it is usually into the wipe box or kleenex!...the little sneak! she has the biggest smiles and giggles, just makes me sad to think that she is at home while i am stuck here at work! she also is starting to stand up really nice next to toys and the couch..before we even know it she will be walking, so sad!

well hope everyone is having a nice week and enjoying this hot weather...

i will update with some photos soon, hopefully with some beautiful pics from duluth after our weekend escape!

August 2009

Hey there everyone...Hope you are all doing well! We are having an awesome summer 2009! It is just amazing to us that it is already August... before we know it, summer will be over. At our house we have loved the weather, a rare 90 degrees is fantastic! Well since our last update we all went up north camping with Grandma and Grandpa Morgan and Bonnie and Randy Sexton. We had so much fun, we left on a Sunday and came home on Thursday evening, so it was a wonderful week. We had really nice weather, a night or two of rain and one day of rainy weather, but otherwise it was just great! And we stayed in the camper cabin at Jay Cooke State Park, which was wonderful! We will certainly do that again because it was much nicer with two children than laying on the ground on sleeping bags! I got to do a lot of biking, running, and walking so that was great with me! Scott did some fishing with his Dad and Randy. And I also ate lots of fabulous fudge and a HUGE caramel apple from Rocky Mountain Fudge Shop in Duluth...which if I can make a recommendation...DO stop here! It has such fabulous treats! We just had a great family vacation, that was MUCH needed for all of us, and Henry and Olivia were just excellent!

After that vacation it was back to the real life realities of cooking, cleaning, working, and all that mundane stuff! Then we had Benjamin Donnay's Baptism, which was just great! Henry was happy because he got to see all of his Albers aunts, uncles and cousins! Which is always a plus for him! Now this week we have been nice and busy as well...yesterday was National Night Out and I took Henry and Olivia to the Fire Station, where there was a pot luck and all the firetrucks for Henry to explore and two cop cars...which he thought was really cool! He also won a prize...a really annoying duck that sings loud and dances! and a water bottle and a cute bag to carry them all in! He loved it!

Today Henry had his first dentist appointment in Lake City. He did such a great job. The dentist said that not very many two year olds sit as well as he did. I was so proud of him! Then we went to look at all the sail boats, which Henry thinks are the coolest! And Henry played at the park in Lake City...he was wiped out by the time we got home! But...of course since he took a 20 minute nap in the car that was it! And tonight we went to the Waterski Show on Lake Zumbro with Grandma and Grandpa Albers and Gavin, too! Henry thought it was pretty fun to get to see the waterskiiers!

Well...Hope you all have a great August and I will attach a link to see some photos of the cute kiddos! Enjoy, The Morgans

Summer Fun!

Happy July,

Sorry that it has been so long since we have updated! We have been staying busy doing many different summer activities! Since our last post Scott went on vacation with the Albers Men up to the Cabin in Winter! They had a good time from the sounds of it, but I was very happy when he returned...as I was not meant to be a single parent! I need a little me time most days! But he was a very nice hubby and did bring me some fudge home! So I was very grateful for that! We had Scott's Aunt Pam's Wedding and Leahs graduation all on June 20th so that was one busy day but everyone was happy to see Miss Olivia and Big Brother Henry! Everyone at Leahs graduation was also lucky enough to meet baby Benjamin, who is such a little sweetie! He has such a nice head of hair! I cannot wait to see him again! The following weekend I took Henry and Olivia to the Lake City Waterski Days to see the parade, that was kind of a disappointment! ALthough Henry did get to see his Big Cousin Ethan and since that day Henry prefers to call tractors "M-e's" just the way that both Gavin and Ethan say it! And "Yep" because that is another little word that Ethan must say quite often! Then last weekend we went to the Mazeppa parade on Friday night with Grandma A, Grandpa A, Lynn, Amy and Ethan so Henry again thought that was great, Olivia on the other hand, thinks the parades were a bit too loud! But of course she quieted right down for Grandma, as always! And yesterday, Gma and Gpa Albers watched both kiddos while scott and i worked and they took them to Lake City to go for a boat ride with Uncle Lynn! Henry is in heaven by any boat or big truck so he was in heaven most of the day! Thanks Gma and Gpa Albers for making their day so much fun! Henry is always wanting to go to either set of grandparents house because he knows he will always have fun and have a ride of some sort on a tractor, four wheeler, skid loader, argo..or something that is way more fun than at home! Oh and last week we also went to our first Rochester Honkers Baseball game, it was such a blast! Thanks Gma and Gpa Morgan! We had a great time and already hoping to go again some evening!

Henry's Achievements since last update!!!:
Count to 30...although he is quite certain that their is a twenty-ten!

Can spell HENRY and SCOTT
Also, RIO, DOG, CAT, BALL, NANA, MOM, DAD, WOW, HOP, POP,
Everyday he is starting to say new phrases or words, a few weeks ago he figured out how to say "absolutely not" because that is what I say if I do not want to say "NO" one more time! It is too darn cute coming out of his mouth!
He Hates time out and gets so sad if you even mention it!
And he is getting better and better at puzzles!

Henry's Favorite Things:
Food: Hot Dog w/ ketchup and Mustard
Toy: Blue Bear followed closely by Black bear
Book: giggly and wiggly
Clothes: Hockey Socks- MN WILD socks!
Place: Park or Gprts house!
Thing to do in Zumbrota: Walk up to Main Street(w/ mom and Baby O) and watch for Big trucks, but really he does not care..he sits and waves and YELLS " HI Car, hi pickup, hi big truck, hi motorcycle" he LOVES it...it is free...and again...he loves it...so we do it!

Olivia's Achievements:

Smiles MUCH more than Henry ever did!

Summers a-comin'

Hey Everyone,

Hope you are all enjoying the nice weather that is finally here! Thank Goodness! We have been busy going for walks to the park and playing outside in the dirt as much as possible as that is all Henry wants to do from sun up to sundown! He is getting to such a fun age now, he can talk so much better and we can really understand most of what he says! He still is totally into reading books and diong puzzles but he also loves to be outside, probably more than anything else! Since we updated last henry turned 2, but of course he had to have Rotavirus then! It was so much fun! he got that the night before Aunt Bonnies wedding to uncle Randy and then he was kind of sick the whole next week! I think everyone that came into contact with him got some form of the virus! But Henry got so many nice toys! Now he is having so much fun playing with them all! Olivia is also getting to be so big, she has the brightest smiles with the cutest dimples! She is just a doll! I cannot believe that she is almost 4 months old already! The time has just flown by! Scott and I have been busy trying to finish the rest of the basement and a few outside projects this spring, hopefully one of these days we will win the powerball and then we can finish the rest of our projects! Most of our time though is spent playing with Henry and Olivia when we are not at work, and that is worth way more than any amount of money! We just love them so much and have so much fun! Well, I will try to add some pictures in the next few days so that you can see just how cute they are! Have a great week! ~The Morgans

ABCs and Numbers

Enjoy Henry Singing 'parts' of his ABCs and Counting!

Finally....Spring!

Hello Everyone, I am so sorry that it has been so long since I updated! But it is much harder with two! My free time is spent cleaning or ...oh yeah...what free time? I dont really have much of that anymore, unless I feel like getting up at 5 am or staying up LATE (aka after 9!). anywho, we have all been doing quite well! Since last time we went to Wisconsin Dells with grandma and grandpa albers, which was a great time! The waterpark was great and Henry seemed to enjoy it much more than last year. Olivia also went for her first swim! She really didnt seem to mind it, which surprised us all a bit! I think everyone at the waterpark thought that we were nuts for bringing a 5 week old to a waterpark! but we had a good time and it gave us something to do to get away from the frigid temperatures for a couple of days! She even wore an adorable little swimsuit! Henry is gett bigger and bigger by the day and is saying more new words all the time. Our current favorite is "great-grandpa" he says it so darn cute, but for whatever reason he wants to whisper it like he is shy about saying it (he must know that i want him to say it to others because it is so cute and that is why he only whispers it to other people!!). He can count good to 13 now, i am so impressed with him! but the real change in him is that he is becoming more and more of a daddys boy. he gets so sad when scott leaves to do just about anything! Especially if scott is home for the morning and has to go to work or leaves to do something partway thru the day. it just breaks my heart! its so darn adorable! he also wants to go outside ALL of the time now. I think he too is sick of being stuck in the house. we are noticing him getting bored with his toys quite often now...he kind of wanders around the living room aimlessly, then he usually does something naughty! then we know for sure that he is just bored out of his mind! he also has started to have playdates with a little boy from our ECFE class, William. Neither one of them says much to the other, but hopefully they will start to talk to each other and want to play with each other! currently they just want to explore the others toys!

Olivia is also getting so big! I cannot believe that she is already 2 months old. It makes me so sad! She has the biggest, brightest smile it truly does just make my day when she smiles! She also has just a little giggle so far, i am waiting for the true belly laugh to start! It is much different with baby number two as i really just do not remember to get out the camera as much or write down exactly when the first smile was, which is unfortunate! But she is just a little doll! She is a fabulous lilttle baby for the most part though! She eats great and sleeps like only a little morgan baby can sleep...all through the night! from like 9-4 or 5! It is so fabulous for a breastfed baby! I can only hope that she will be half as good a sleeper as henry! she does like a little attention though, she must get bored relatively quickly because she does not like to be left alone with no noise or something to keep her occupied when awake! And at her two month appt she was already up to 10 pounds 13 ounces! Amazing! That was like the 63%! I was so happy!

Well sadly I go back to work in less than two weeks, i cannot believe it! It completely seems impossible! I love my job, but i also love being a mom and i really wish i could just stay home with them everyday and still have money to buy everything! wouldnt that be nice? oh well, I am in need of some adult conversation and gossip! And I am starting to feel like a preschool teacher because all we do is ABCs, counting, reading, coloring, and they are getting so boring! So...I guess maybe I am kind of ready to go back to work!

I better get going, I better pay some bills now...that is one of my other jobs...so currently I am a wife, nurse, teacher, accountant, cleaner, dish washer, clothes changer, park player, book reader, taxi driver, multitasker and most importantly a MOM!

Have a great night/day and We hope that Ethan is feeling better!

Lots of New photos/Baptism

Hey there everyone, We are all doing great at home, Olivia is now 3 weeks old....so sad! Just breaks my heart to think how fast the time has gone so far! She is just adorable! And she has been a fabulous sleeper and eater, thankfully! Enjoy our new pictures of Olivia and Henry!

Henrys first haircut by mommy! $15.00 is way too expensive for a ten minute hair cut! And if I can say so myself, I think it turned out quite nice! And after that, he made me some nice fingerpaint artwork!
