August 2009

Hey there everyone...Hope you are all doing well! We are having an awesome summer 2009! It is just amazing to us that it is already August... before we know it, summer will be over. At our house we have loved the weather, a rare 90 degrees is fantastic! Well since our last update we all went up north camping with Grandma and Grandpa Morgan and Bonnie and Randy Sexton. We had so much fun, we left on a Sunday and came home on Thursday evening, so it was a wonderful week. We had really nice weather, a night or two of rain and one day of rainy weather, but otherwise it was just great! And we stayed in the camper cabin at Jay Cooke State Park, which was wonderful! We will certainly do that again because it was much nicer with two children than laying on the ground on sleeping bags! I got to do a lot of biking, running, and walking so that was great with me! Scott did some fishing with his Dad and Randy. And I also ate lots of fabulous fudge and a HUGE caramel apple from Rocky Mountain Fudge Shop in Duluth...which if I can make a recommendation...DO stop here! It has such fabulous treats! We just had a great family vacation, that was MUCH needed for all of us, and Henry and Olivia were just excellent!

After that vacation it was back to the real life realities of cooking, cleaning, working, and all that mundane stuff! Then we had Benjamin Donnay's Baptism, which was just great! Henry was happy because he got to see all of his Albers aunts, uncles and cousins! Which is always a plus for him! Now this week we have been nice and busy as well...yesterday was National Night Out and I took Henry and Olivia to the Fire Station, where there was a pot luck and all the firetrucks for Henry to explore and two cop cars...which he thought was really cool! He also won a prize...a really annoying duck that sings loud and dances! and a water bottle and a cute bag to carry them all in! He loved it!

Today Henry had his first dentist appointment in Lake City. He did such a great job. The dentist said that not very many two year olds sit as well as he did. I was so proud of him! Then we went to look at all the sail boats, which Henry thinks are the coolest! And Henry played at the park in Lake City...he was wiped out by the time we got home! But...of course since he took a 20 minute nap in the car that was it! And tonight we went to the Waterski Show on Lake Zumbro with Grandma and Grandpa Albers and Gavin, too! Henry thought it was pretty fun to get to see the waterskiiers!

Well...Hope you all have a great August and I will attach a link to see some photos of the cute kiddos! Enjoy, The Morgans
