Today on the 13th day of our trip we went fishing just for fun and we caught some Salmon and Rainbow trout. So first we went fishing in a river, the Kenai river and we caught a few fish. I caught my first salmon and it was a baby 2 inches long. Then Lynn caught a 13 inch salmon. But then Ethan and I both fell in the river and we were freezing and we went up to the truck and then everyone else came. After that we went to this other place where we caught 7-15 inch salmon and rainbow trout and caught minnows. Then we went out for supper and I got pizza 🍕. And we saw some moose and reindeer. So it was a really fun day. Remember to check the blog again tomorrow for more updates.

Ethan and Lynn went fishing in Cook inlet for more halibut and salmon. I had 2 salmon bites on my line, but none of them stayed on. It was really fun even though I didn't catch any fish. I did see fish swimming in the water. Ethan and Lynn caught caught 3 halibut and a bunch of salmon. Ethan also caught one fish that I had never heard of. So it ended up being a good day. Remember to check the blog again tomorrow.

Today on the tenth day of our trip we went to Kenai and went Salmon fishing. Ethan my Cousin caught 2 salmon and Lynn my Uncle caught 3 salmon, because they were wearing waders in the water. My dad and I didn’t catch any but my dad had one on and it took almost all of his line. Then after that we went to a bonfire and played with a bunch of other kids there for a while. So First we got to Homer and drove to our fishing Charter and then we took off on the boat. So it was like a hour and a half to drive out to the fishing spot and then we started fishing about half the people caught a fish in the first minute or two and I did and it was decent sized and later I caught another one and my dad caught two in the last 5-10 minutes. The amount you could keep was 2 but you could also keep some cod if you caught any, my uncle and one other guy caught a cod. We ended up fishing for 3 hours and My Uncle, My Dad, Ethan, and I all caught 2 Halibut and we ate them for supper. Each Halibut has 4-5 pounds of meat on it.So it ended up being a great day and we caught a bunch of fish. Sorry about posting these posts so late. Remember to check tomorrow for more updates.

Anchorage, AK
So today on the 8th day of our trip we saw many things we saw Glaciers and more mountains with snow on them. First we went on a tour to see Glaciers and Ice Burgs and we saw lots of both. We saw Portage Glacier the biggest one on the lake. It’s 1/2 a mile long and 300-400 feet thick and it takes 10 feet of snow to compact for 10 years and then it makes 1 foot of ice so portage glacier has been around for 10-15 thousand years. Then later we went to Ship Creek were we saw salmon from a viewing platform. We saw Chinook salmon or black salmon and Sockeye salmon or red salmon. Tomorrow we are planning on going gold mining. Remember to check the blog again for more tomorrow updates, and sorry I don’t have any pictures of the fish.

Lethbridge, Canada - Grand Prairie, Canada
Today on the fourth day of our trip to Alaska we saw many things. We saw the biggest railroad bridge in the world 🌎. We saw mountains ⛰ and hills. Some of the mountains even had snow on them. If you’ve ever been to Canada 🇨🇦 you might’ve felt they’re money. It’s even thinner paper than our money’s paper with a little plastic going around it. It’s super weird. Canadians also don’t have pennies so they just round to the nearest half and also Canadians have loonies $1 coins and toonies $2 coins. We also saw 1 mule deer. Check tomorrow for more updates.

North Dakota-Montana-Canada
Today the on 3rd day of our trip to Alaska we’ve seen lots of stuff in Montana and Canada. So first we left our hotel at 8:30 and started driving to Montana. On the way to Montana and in Montana we saw tons of oil rigs. We also saw pretty big hills and lots of farm equipment and a lot of grain-bins. The big hills were called Bear Paw🐾. We saw a few mountains and they were huge. We also saw a mule deer and a few pronghorn. When we got to the border we crossed after waiting in a 30 minute long line the crossing went great. After we crossed the border my dad and I both forgot we didn't buy anything in Montana. Except for that everything was great. See you tomorrow for more updates.

Devils Lake
Today on the second day of our journey we went fishing & went to a Fort & went sightseeing, now let me tell you about it all. So first we went to the fort and saw a bunch of military stuff and then we found out that it was an Indian school for about 75 years. Next we went sightseeing and we saw lots of farms, machines, a casino, roads, fields, etc in devils lake because devils lake keeps on getting bigger and bigger and every year it grows about 2-3 feet. Then later we went fishing and we went fishing on a road and train tracks underwater. I caught the first fish it was a 20” Northern then we caught about 15-20 Walleye and Northern then we moved and caught 10-15 more fish and we kept 12 of the biggest walleyes, we didn’t keep any northern because they are all bony and don’t taste quite as good as walleyes. The biggest walleye was about 25”-28”. The max walleye was five and same with northern so we could’ve had 5 walleye apiece but we just stuck with the big ones. Our guide on the fishing trip was nice and very good at explaining how to fish for the walleye and Northern. Thanks for reading this and be ready for more updates tomorrow.

Zumbrota to Devils Lake
Today we started our trip to Alaska and got to Devils Lake, ND. On the way we saw like 100 "pocket lakes". Pocket lakes are little lakes that are like half an acre to 2-3 acres and there were ducks all over in the lakes but surprisingly there were very few cabins or houses, even on the biggest lakes. On the way we also saw lots of wheat, canola, barley, sunflowers, and potatoes. When we got to North Dakota the was no real entrance sign that said North Dakota. When we got to the hotel we unpacked and then went out to eat at Hardee's. Tomorrow we are gonna go fishing at 3 o'clock but before that were going to go to museums and forts. Happy Fourth of July take care check in tomorrow for more updates.
