Christmas and Winter Update
Hey everyone, happy freezing friday! henry is napping away today so I (Mommy!) am writing today to update you on what we have been up to lately! Henry is getting bigger and bigger and cuter and cuter every single day! We have so much fun with him most of the time...every once and a while he does try to be a stinker though! Henry is getting to be so smart though, at least to us, but we of course are a bit biased! But he knows all of his letters and numbers 0-10! So we think it is really cute to hear him count and he loves to do the itsy, bitsy spider, twinkle twinkle and the wheels on the bus! Christmas was a blast this year because Henry could actually open presents this year and was happy to get some new toys! Now I have had to find more room in our house for all of these toys! It is amazing to me how many different toys a 20 month old can possibly have! I am glad that Scott is finishing the rest of the basement currently so that we will have a nice big playroom for Henry and his sister when she arrives! Scott is staying very busy with the basement project...our next goal is to get carpet in and trim up so that our entire basement will actually look finished! Then, we will even have room for guests in the guest bedroom in the basement...even though we never have guests, oh well! I am sure I will find more "Good Stuff" to store in that room! We only have three more weeks until Baby is expected to arrive, on January 30th! We are very excited, but also a bit nervous about all the changes that will occur when there are two children! We have noticed that Henry talks more and more about "baby" so we are not sure, but we do think that he is starting to understand a little bit about the baby coming! I am sure that it will be a shock to him when there really is another baby! Oh well, he will get used to it and I am sure he will do just great! Well we will keep you all posted on the arrival of this new little peanut! and I will try to add some pictures now from christmas , even though Henry was trying to escape in most every picture!

Finally, some pictures!
Henrys First Snowfall of 2008
I was very unsure of what to think about it...esp. in my PJs! crazy Mom!
This zebra is for sitting on and reading, right?

with daddy on halloween as a pumpkin!
I hated wearing my pumpkin costume, please
henrys first time finger painting!
what a Mess!
Good thing bathtime was next on the agenda!
Today, playing in the snow!

Happy December everyone hope you all had a great November and a nice thanksgiving! Our end of November was busy because mommy had to work around thanksgiving but oh well I got to spend lots of time with daddy and grandmas and grandpas so I have not been complaining too much! I love the snow outside! Today mommy put my snowpants on and hauled me outside and we played in the snow for a little while! Although, I really wanted to make a snowman and this snow was not meant for making snowmen because it kept falling apart! So, please make it snow some more so that I can make a snowman! I have also been staying busy learning the alphabet and numbers, I know over half of the alphabet and a few more numbers now...but colors I have kind of went backwards...currently everything is red! I have also been quite the little dancer lately! (not that I was not before, but now i really get into it!) I have also become a bit mischievous and try to get into ANYTHING and EVERYTHING! Any suggestions on what my mommy can do about this problem! I also really love all the Christmas lights mommy put up in the house and especially the carousel of great-grandma Mashaks...it is my favorite! well, hope you enjoy all of the updated pictures and i will hopefully see all of you very soon! Love, Henry

november
hope everyone is enjoying the cold weather! We have been busy at our house getting ready for my sister to arrive! Only 10 more weeks and she will be here, SCARY!! Then I will have to share mommy and daddy all the time. i am still not sure how this is going to work! Daddy has been busy trying to finish as much of the basement as possible so that I can play with all my toys in the basement playroom since it is getting too cold to go outside everyday. So i really cannot wait for him to get done with that! Last weekend we celebrated my grandpa albers birthday, he turned 58!!! (If you didnt know any better you would seriously think he is like 39!) mommy has been taking lots of pictures of me so i will try to get her to add them to my blog soon because there are some awfully cute ones! oh, and I better tell you what I have been doing....I have been learning my letters, numbers, colors and shapes! I know W, M, D, K, Y, O, 1, 5, 6, 9 and sometimes 4! and, circle, triangle square and rectangle! and the colors i know so far are purple..my favorite one to say, yellow, blue and red sometimes and black! I have been getting pretty smart! I still love to read with mom and dad and do puzzles all day long. Lately i have also been coloring a lot of pictures because i finally sit still to color for more than one minute and I decided that crayons dont really taste all that good, although they do look like they would be tasty! hope you all have a nice weekend, love henry!

Our family pictures are back!
Good Evening Everyone,
This is momma morgan writing! Henry is (hopefully) sleeping soundly in his crib, but I just got some energy when i put him to sleep so I thought I better update his blog quickly! We have had a busy couple of weeks! Scott and I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary on october 15 by going on a little vacation to Duluth WITHOUT Henry! (Poor Baby!) But he was in great hands at grandma and grandpa morgans house playing with them and aunt bonnie and soon to be uncle randy! I doubt he missed me nearly as much as I missed him! But scott and I did have a fabulous time together doing things that are much more difficult to do with a 17 month old! We went to Enger park in Duluth and climbed a tower that offered amazing views of Lake Superior, went out to dinner twice without even having to worry about what to feed henry, went on a tour cruise on the duluth harbor, and went in the pool at the hotel and laughed at all the people with kids because it was SO relaxing to not have a child to entertain! But on the night we got back I had to go to the ER because I was having numbness and tingling in my leg so they thought I might have a blood clot, which I did not! thank goodness, but they really dont know why i keep getting the numbness...oh well! I guess I will survive fine with it for 14 more weeks! That is right...I am already 26 weeks along! VERY CRAZY! It has went by so fast, with number 2 I just do not have the time to sit and think about how far along I am...I do feel kind of bad for this poor girl because I read to Henry everyday when I was pregnant to him and rocked him in his rocking chair and read every word of every parenting book I had! With this one I try to read as much of the parenting books as possible, but I usually fall asleep! Oh well! Henry is getting more and more fun with everyday, but also more and more rebellious! if anyone has a solution to putting things into the toilet let me know! We just dont know what to do! and now he seems to think the drawers on my china hutch are very fun to open and shut because scott and I get a (funny) worried and panicked look on our faces for fear that all my nice dishes might fall out! but he is also talking more and more each day so it is alot of fun to be home with him so much to hear all of his new words and all the new tricks he can do! Today we "finger" painted for the first time....he had a good time but it was more like body paint! It was a good thing he was only in a diaper! Because he was rubbing it all over himself! But he did think it was a lot of fun, so I guess that is all that matters! Scott has been busy working in the basement! It is looking mighty good! Today he finished hanging sheetrock in the bedroom we are adding to the basement, it looks so nice! We also put a window in there and he did it all himself! I am always so impressed! Well, I better get going I want to go put 300 pictures into albums yet before I fall asleep! Hope you all have a great weekend and we hope to see you soon! happy haunting, katie

Fall has been fabulous!
hello everyone this is Henrys momma writing since i am bored at work tonight! Well, henry has been getting more and more fun everyday! He constantly says new words and does new tricks that always amaze us! Just yesterday I took him for a run before work and he kept saying "STOP" he has been saying "sop s" for a stop sign for a while but it never comes out very clear but yesterday for some reason he finally figured out stop! it was so darn cute! he is really big into stop signs, yield signs, mail boxes, lights, flags, flowers and everything else we see on walks and runs now...almost to the point of being a bit annoying (not to mention that it makes me quite winded telling him what everything is)! Amazingly he is also getting even more into reading books. Scott and I just about go bonkers when we see him going toward the book shelf. Although we know that it is good for him, we get so sick of reading books all day long! But Henry is in heaven sitting on our lap flipping the pages while we read away, so we should not complain! Last week I got some fabulous pictures of Henry playing in the leaves at the park in Zumbrota, I personally think they are cuter than any photographers pictures! he thought the leaves were so interesting to play with! I will try to add them sometime in the next couple of days because they really are too cute! This week Scott and I are giong to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary.....CRAZY! Time has just flown by! I am not sure if we even believe all of the changes that have happened over the past 3 years! We are thinking about going up north this week to celebrate since both scott and i have a few days off of work...well i do often! but Scott actually took vacation time just so he could spend it with me! What a guy?!! Well, I should get back to work and hopefully we will talk to or see you all soon, Katie
